Sunshine & Rainbows Card Box

Today is the first day of spring here in Ontario, Canada. It is quite chilly. If you still have the winter blues, I thought of cheering you up with some beautiful pastel colours. As the year is springing by, I am hyperventilating at the thought that Stampin’up! Occasion Catalogue and the Annual Catalogue will end on May 31st. I still have so many ideas to share. You need to order your favourites before they are gone for good.

The Sunshine & Rainbows Bundle from the Occasion’s catalogue is so much fun. This bundle includes the Sunshine & Rainbows stamp set and it’s coordinating Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies. The cool feature about this bundle is that you can create a seven-layer rainbow or simplify by using fewer layers.

I know that I used non traditional rainbow colours but thought to step it up a notch. I wanted to design a “Springish” “Easterish” Rainbow since Easter is near. But with this collection you can create the traditional rainbow = ROYGBIV (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet)! And have you noticed the darling Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes? These little shapes are a must on your list.

I also thought that the Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder coordinated well with this bundle. I find the image looks like little suns 🙂 My colour combination included Powder Pink from the 2017-2019 In Color Collection, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky and Wisteria Wonder (all from the Subtles Collection). What’s your favourite Stampin’up! Collection? I love the Subtles and the Neutrals. I used the Sweet & Sassy Framelits Dies for the heart.

How to make your Heart Rainbow:

Cut your heart with the Big Shot and one of the Hearts from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits Dies.
Cut all your rainbow colours with the Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies.
Glue your Rainbow cardstock pieces on your heart.
Don’t forget to add clouds and a sun from that same Rainbow Builder Framelit dies collection.
Place your heart inside the cut out heart image.

I also added a sentiment from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies and coloured half the Love image with the powder pink stampin’write.
