I hope you’ve enjoyed your holidays. I’ve taken some time off and it feels wonderful. When Stampin’up releases the retiring list of products from a catalogue, I always cringe my teeth… I have trouble letting go of my retired favorites… I use to keep them anyway but now I only keep a selected few… Being a demonstrator for over 10 years has made my stash of SU products pretty big. If I kept all my stampin products, I would need to upgrade the size of my craft room… Us demonstrators have great perks, like free goodies, bonus and a discount on our products, hence the reason I have a great and big supply of goodness… You might want to check in during the Sale-a-bration period that starts on January 4th, the starter kit has a great deal going down… There has never been a better time to join either for the discount or to start your own business.
The holiday catalogue is coming to an end on January 3rd, just like the holiday are almost over. I’ve shifted from making holiday projects, to winter projects… I’m loving the Mountain Adventure stamp set… This is one stamp set that I’m keeping in my retired stash… Skiing is a big part of our family activities and I know this set will be useful for a very long time. I’ve design this scrapbook page below for my January scrapbook club, if you would like to attend, I’m hosting on January 11th. If you live too far then take advantage of my kit to go. The kit to go includes the Mountain Adventure stamp set. You have until January 3rd to sign up.
I wanted to include so many pictures… There wasn’t enough space for my journaling. To resolve this issue, I added flip pockets to incorporate my journaling. The linen thread kept the pockets closed. Another idea would be to use magnets…
The embellishments from the holiday catalogue were pretty amazing as well. I love glittery things. The tins of tags project kit includes these star and circle sequins. I added them using the Fine tip glue pen. I also added white mica flakes to my mountains.
Here is a view of the inside of my pockets. I stamped the inside and colored the stamp images with my new watercolor crayons that are coming in the new occasion catalogue. This is one of the perks of being a demonstrator, we can pre order the new goodies from the next catalogue. If you don’t have the new crayons, you can use the ink off of your ink pads. I just press my ink pad down so the ink transfers to the inside of the lid.
On my previous post, I talked about how much I love the large letters framelits. This time I embossed my letters with softly falling textured impression embossing folder. Adding texture to the letters made the title pop out. I also added more white mica flakes…
Tip: When I want to display a scrapbook page, I get a 12×12 canvas at my local craft store and mount the page to it. It’s perfect for wall art or even to display on a shelf. This page will make it to my scrapbook wall for sure… The color combo is perfect for my display area.
