It’s time for another Artisan Blog Hop and this one is all about Sunshines and Rainbows. The Artisan Team is featuring the Sunshine & Rainbows Bundle from the Occasions Catalogue. You may have just arrived here from my sweet friend Kayla MacAulay from Australia.
The Sunshine & Rainbows Bundle is quite the jewel, especially when coordinated with the Glitter & Epoxy Shapes. I must admit, I was so anxious to share my card collection. As an Artisan, we submit to Stampin’up! ahead of time from the date the projects are showed to all of you. I was awaiting today’s date anxiously, to share my projects with all of you…. When we think of sunshine and rainbows, we all think of bright colorful images. I thought outside the box, wanted a softer look and decided to highlight the subtle color collection from our Annual Catalogue.
I love this bundle for many reasons, one of them is that I feel Stampin’up!’s Concept Artists created this collection to pair up with products from our Annual Catalogue. Here is a list of products that I feel coordinate well:
- Sunshine Wishes Thinlits or Voeux Ensoleillés Thinlits Dies (French)
- Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
- Pattern Party Decorative Masks
Sunshine Card:
Tip: Use the Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the sunshine card. I find they can look as much like suns than star!
Listed below are a couple of important steps:
- Stamp in so Saffron ink suns from the Sunshine & Rainbows Stamp Set
- Emboss a piece of So Saffron Cardstock with the Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
- Embellish with the Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes and White Doilies
- Add a border on the left side of the card using the Ticket Tear Border Punch
- Double up on Linen Thread to make thicker bows
- Use your Aqua Painter to add So Saffron ink on your “sunshine” greeting from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies to create an ombre look. The dies are available in French as well. See the item list below.
- Use the scallop punch and the circle punch to add an extra greeting to your card
Cloudy Card:
Tip: Use the Clouds from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks to coordinate with the Sunshines & Rainbows Bundle.
Listed below are a couple of important steps:
- Add clouds to your card by using soft sky ink with a Sponge Dauber onto the Clouds Mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks
- Add Whisper White cloud pieces from the Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies
- Embellish with the Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes and White Doilies
- Add a Wisteria Wonder border on the left side of the card using the Ticket Tear Border Punch
- Double up on Linen Thread to make thicker bows
- Use your Aqua Painter to add Soft Sky ink on your “Hope” greeting from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies to create an ombre look.
- Add specks of soft sky ink to your card with an aqua painter
- Use the scallop punch and the circle punch to add an extra greeting to your card
Rainbow Card:
Tip: Use Vellum Cardstock over your stamped image to create a “see through” look.
Listed below are a couple of important steps:
- Color your rainbow stamps from the Sunshine & Rainbows Stamp Set with the Subtles Stampin’ Write Markers. Stamp multiple rainbows on your card.
- Emboss a piece of Vellum Cardstock with the Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Layer the embossed piece of cardstock on your stamped background.
- Embellish with the Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes and White Doilies
- Add Whisper White cloud pieces from the Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies
- Add a Pink Pirouette border on the left side of the card using the Ticket Tear Border Punch
- Double up on Linen Thread to make thicker bows
- Use your Aqua Painter to add Pear Pizzazz ink on your “congrats” greeting from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies to create an ombre look.
- Add specks of inks from the Subtle Color Collection to your card with an aqua painter
A couple of posts ago, I had showed you the coordinating box that I created using The Sunshine & Rainbows Bundle. To view details, click HERE. I chose to add the 3 cards with coordinating envelops in this cute folder and added a marker from the Subtles Stampin’ Write Markers.
