New catalogue Sneak Peek

April 26, 2018 By Kim McGillis 15 Comments

Some of the Artisan Design Team have decided to participate on a Sneak Peek Hop today, featuring new products from Stampin’up!’s 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue !  Most of us attended Stampin’up!’s On Stage events in April that were hosted for demonstrators all across the world.  I attended the London Ontario event.   We had such an amazing time.  You may have just arrived here from my sweet friend Susan Wong from New Zealand. Her projects are simply stunning.  For today’s hop, I’m featuring the Sea of Textures Bundle.

The Tranquil Textured Suite  includes the SEA OF TEXTURES Stamp Set as well as the UNDER THE SEA Framelits.  As soon as I saw this stamp set, I was immediately drawn to the textured images that are perfect to use as backgrounds on your crafting projects.  They add an artistic and eclectic feel to your creations.  The stamp set includes 9 different images.  All the images in this stamp set are designed to layer on top of each other.   This collection is also available in French, “Ocean De Textures”.  “Les liens et images sont au bas pour vous mes Amis.”

On my Tranquil Textured mini card and mini pizza box collection you will notice how the textured image is in the background, the octopus was layered on top of the background stamped image and then the greeting was added.  Making simple mini cards was so much fun.  Add them inside a coordinated mini pizza box and it makes the perfect hostess gift.

The Glitter Enamel Dots coordinate beautifully with this collection.  I used the green dots as embellishments on my mini pizza box.  These also retire on May 31st.

To compliment the stamp set, Stampin’up! created the coordinating  UNDER THE SEA framelits.  The Framelits include 8 different designs.  On my samples today, some framelits are the exact pieces that were used to cut the stamped  images from the Sea of Textures stamp set.  But you will also notice that some images are completely different.  For  Example,  the Fish and sand dollars.  I love that the stamp set and framelits work well together but I adore that you can create samples that stand alone by using the different images from the framelits. These pieces are perfect to use as a collage for your cards and scrapbook pages.  They are also perfect to use in layers.

Stampin’up! created the Tranquil Textures Suite which includes:  Sea of Textures Bundle, Tranquil Textures Cardstock Pack, Tranquil Textures Sprinkles, Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper and Night of Navy Medium Baker’s Twine.  Demonstrators who attended onstage got the amazing opportunity to preorder this bundle before June 1st.  What an amazing perk!  I cannot wait to create with mine.

If you know me personally, you know that my favourite colour of all time was soft sky.  I love the subtles colour collection.  On May 31st, Soft Sky is retiring from Stampin’up!’s colours.  I was a little sad at first.  But I must admit that my sadness soon disappeared once I started crafting with the new Soft Sea Foam colour.  I’m in love!!!  I adore the possible colour combinations.  In fact, the Soft Sea Foam colour coordinates beautifully with our current Wood Textures Series Paper.  Combining Early Espresso, Whisper White, Sahara Sand and Soft Sea Foam is one of my new favourite colour combo.

Tip:  The 1/4″ Copper Trim is a perfect asset to the Sea of Textures Bundle.  If you pull the trim apart, it adds texture to your creations.

One of the highlights from the Under the Sea framelits is the small fish framelits.  It can be used as a peek through project or  the little fishies can be used for a shaker card.  I used the fishies for a shaker mini embroidery hoop on my album.  The mini hoops are also retiring on May 31st.  They are part of the Occasions Catalogue.  Don’t forget to stalk up on these little wonders.  The inside of my album contains different compartments to showcase pictures from a family trip. I also used the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in my background.  It coordinates perfectly with the bundle.

Tip:  Add a circle window sheet to the top of your mini embroidery hoop to make a fish shaker embellishment to your album.

If you are a demonstrator my Sea of Textures Collection is perfect to show case at your next event.  Stamp a simple card as a make and take.  Show an upgraded card with lots of textures.  Show a 3D item as well as a mini album.  And if you are a customer, the Tranquil Textures Suite is an asset to your crafting collection.   From the beginner crafters to the avid stampers this bundle is perfect for the cardmakers but as well as the crafters that like to preserve their memories by scrapbooking pages and mini albums.  Mark the date on your calendar, On June 1st, order the Tranquil Textures Suite.  If you are from Canada and order with me, I will send you all the cardstock to create these projects showcased today with a $60 order.  You will also receive a complimentary video with highlight features of the full album.  More details to come.

***As a bonus gift from me, order online from now until June 30th and get a ticket to have the chance to win Samy the Sea of Texture Ceramic Succulent Planter.  Use hostess code QSXV7XTT

Next on the hop is my lovely friend Kayla Renee MacAulay from  Australia.  I cannot wait to see what she created today.  Click on the Blog Badge below to get to her blog.

If you live in Canada, I would love to be your demonstrator!  Some of the items are available to order now and others will only be available on June 1st.  Mark these items and Order them when available.  Don’t forget to check the retired list.  You might want to order items before they are gone for good on May 31st.  Use hostess code QSXV7XTT  And if you are from another country, you can still take a glimpse of the products listed and shop with a demonstrator near you. Happy Stamping!

Hugs, Kim xo

This suite of projects is so artistic and textural and full of all thing gorgeous! I love it all, but the addition of the copper ribbon looks just like broken pieces of sea fan that you find on the beaches near me. You are truly amazing.
