I hope you are enjoying the long Easter weekend with your loved ones. It’s April already. I’m so anxious for spring to come. I started running outdoors again and boy I still find it chilly. I thought if I took out my Southern Serenade Stamp Set that I could bring a little bit of Spring Weather in my crafting studio. I adore the flower pattern and the vintage look of this stamp set. Watercoloring the pretty flowers is so much fun. Don’t forget to use archival ink for your base to prevent bleeding the ink when you watercolor. I added the codes for the wood and clear stamp sets since you have either options. Are you a wood stamper or clear block stamper? I like clear because they are easier to store in my stamping space since the cases are smaller.
I’m also loving the Sheet Music background stamp set that is also available in clear and wood mount. This stamp set is perfect to use on the wood textures designer series paper. I stamped the image using crumb cake ink.
The Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set is amazing if you want a collection of greetings. I used the Happy Easter greeting. It’s also available in French, called Voeux Mignons. “En Francais c’est seulement disponible en format clair.” The Classic Label Punch is perfect to punch out the greetings from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. It’s a must to add on your wish list.
How to color the flowers:
- Stamp the flowers from the Southern Serenade Stamp Set in Basic Black Archival Ink onto Shimmery White cardstock.
- Colour your flowers with your favourite Stampin’up! Classic Ink. I have used three different colour combinations. (the colours are listed below)
- Use your paper snips to cut out the flowers and floral images
- Embellish with the pearls basic Jewels
Add Delicate White Doilies and Linen Thread to decorate your eggs. You could reproduce this look for a card as well. I’m going to show you how in a future post.
