Who says we can't use a basic black and very vanilla for the holidays? I love non tradition Christmas colors! I'm still on a high from the onstage event that stampinup hosted in Ottawa for Eastern Canada demonstrators… it was fabulous to connect with old demonstrators and new ones as well. It was really exciting to see ladies from my team attend their first stampinup event. Until you attend an event, you can't understand how special the entire experience is. How the company cares for their demos, how recognition is important and yes how spoiled we are. Some demonstrators join for the discount. Because the products are so amazing, colors coordinate, the quality of product is beyond expectations. Others join for extra income. Like one of my downline who explained to me that her stampin up events are helping to pay for her child's medical treatments and the treatments are working. A demonstrator's WHY can be very different. If you are loving stampin up and would love to join my team, I would love to learn your WHY and help you achieve your goals even if it's as simple as getting the discount… You can contact me or view details HERE.
Below is the card I created for my swap. I got to share and create a bunch of these cards in exchange for other cards made by other demonstrators. I packed for work a bunch of products and came up with the card below. On my lunch break, I created this beauty. It's simple and anybody can case it. It's the perfect card to make duplicates especially for your family and friends holiday cards.
For this card I used the very vanilla #101650 and basic black card stock #121045. I inked up with the archival basic black ink #140931. This ink pad is a must if you don't already have it. It stamps the perfect black color, no purple tinge… and it's permanent ink, perfect for use with watercolouring techniques. I also used This Christmas Specialty designer series paper #141628 from our annual catalogue. P.172. Yes the annual catalogue contains holiday products as well! You don't want to miss out. The package contains 24 sheets. Imagine how many cards you can create with a large package like this. My reindeer is from the santa's sleigh thinlits dies #140278, this one has a coordinating stamp set called santa's sleigh #142057. If you purchase the stamp set and dies you save 10% for the bundle #143499. it's one of my favourite bundle from the holiday catalogue. I embellished with the mini jingle bells #142002. You get 60 in a package. and used my fav. linen thread to tie my bell #104199. My stars and greetings come from the stamp set Star of light #142110. This set contains 21 photopolymer stamps and has many greetings.
