May 2026 Color Fuser Blog Hop
Hello My Crafty Friends, Bonjour!
Mixing Old with New | Color Fusers Blog Hop
Welcome back to the blog! Today’s project is part of our Color Fusers Blog Hop, and I had so much fun combining some favorites with exciting new products to create a fresh, May-inspired card.
For this design, I paired the Notes & Totes Dies with the gorgeous Fern & Flora Bundle. I love how mixing older and newer products can bring a completely new life to your crafting supplies—it’s such a great way to stretch your collection and get even more creative!
This Month’s Color Combination
This soft and cheerful palette is perfect for spring and early summer projects:
- Strawberry Slush
- Bubble Bath
- Granny Apple Green
- Basic Black
These colors work beautifully together, creating a look that’s both fresh and grounded with that touch of black contrast.

Today’s Card Features: Fern & Flora Bundle

For today’s project, I created a card with the Ferns & Flora Bundle that will be available starting May 5th. I paired it with the Notes & Totes Dies which are on sale while supplies last. You want to add these to your collection…
This bundle is also available in French and called Flore Et Fougère

Project Details
To pull everything together, I added elements from the Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack, which gave just the right amount of boldness and balance to the softer tones.
I also used a brand-new Designer Series Paper called Beautiful Ordinary Life—and it truly lives up to its name! The patterns are versatile, elegant, and perfect for everyday cardmaking.
And let’s talk about embellishments… 👀
The upcoming Dewdrops Embellishments (available May 5th) are absolutely stunning! They add that perfect finishing touch with a subtle shine and dimension that really elevates the entire card.
For the foliage, I gently blended Granny Apple Green ink onto basic white cardstock and die-cut the fern images to give a more natural, shaded look. This small step really brings the greenery to life and ties in beautifully with the color palette.

Instructions to make the card:
- Cut a piece of Basic White Cardstock as card base at 4 1/4″ x 11 and score at 5 1/2″
- Cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White Cardstock for the first layer
- Add Strawberry Slush Ink using a blending brush onto the first layer of Basic White Cardstock and specs of ink with the coordinating Stampin’Blends.
- Add Granny Apple Green Ink using a blending brush onto a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock and specs of ink with the coordinating Stampin’Blends. Die cut the blended cardstock with the foliage dies from the Fern & Flora Dies
- Repeat the same step but with Strawberry Slush and Bubble Bath for extra foliage and bag decor
- Die Cut the Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP with the Notes & Totes Dies for the bag
- Assemble the layers
- Embellish with pieces of clear Dewdrops Embellishments
- Add Linen Thread and make a bow
- Add “Best Wishes” sentiment from the Greetings For All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack
- Assemble the card like the image
- Embellish the Envelope by adding 12″ x12″ Designer Series Paper and foliage

Color Combination:
I truly love how this color combination came together. The softness of Bubble Bath paired with the richness of and the freshness of Garden Apple Green creates such a balanced and versatile palette.
