January 2025 Color Fuser Blog Hop

Hello Crafters, Bonjour!

It’s the first Monday of the Month, which means I participate in the Color Fuser Blog Hop! It also means it’s the first hop of the 2025 year. I thought that the January Color Fuser Blog Hop has a winter colored vibe but I decided to go on a different path. Designers can use a new color combination of Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue and Blueberry Bushel for their crafty projects.

For today’s challenge, I choose the NEW Friendly Seagulls Sale A Bration Stamp Set that will be available to customers starting January 7th. It is FREE with a qualifying $75 order in Canada. I also added two other Sale A Bration Items: the Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins and the Fresh Freesia 3/8″ Seam Binding Ribbon.

Smoky Slate

Balmy Blue

Blueberry Bushel

The card on the right was done during the live this morning so I added some yellow tones. I didn’t color the Seagulls beaks for the color challenge… I love the tiny fish in the Seagulls mouths. They are so cute and made them tropical with the Balmy Blue Stampin’Blends.

Tip: Add Wink of Stella to the fish to make them sparkly tropical fish.

Card #1 For The Color Challenge:

Instructions:

Cut a 4 1/4″ x 11 piece of Smoky Slate or Blueberry Bushel cardstock and score at 5 1/2″
Cut a piece of 4″ x 5 1/4 ” Basic White cardstock
Cut a piece of 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2 ” Basic White cardstock and emboss with the Soft Wave 3D Embossing Folder
Cut a piece of 2 1/4″ by 4″ Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper, cut in a banner form
Die cut decorative pieces from the Textured Floral Dies in Basic White Cardstock and add to card
Add specs of color using the Blueberry Bussel Stampin‘Blend
Stamp in Black Tuxedo Memento Ink two Seagulls and Fish from the Friendly Seagulls Stamp Set and color with Smoky Slate and Balmy Blue Stampin’Blends
Stamp a sentiment from the Friendly Seagulls Stamp Set with Versamark onto Basic Black Cardstock, add WOW White Embossing Powder and heat with Heat Tool
Change the color of the Sale A Bration Fresh Freesia 3/8″ Seam Binding RibbonFresh Freesia 3/8″ Seam Binding Ribbon with the Blueberry Bussel Stampin’Blend, cut in half and tie in a bow
Embellish with the Sale A Bration Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins, use the white one from the pack
