Happy August! It’s time for a special Artisan blog hop. Today we are featuring our second hop with the Colour Your Season Bundle that includes the Blended Seasons Stamp Set, it’s coordinating Stitched Seasons Framelits and the Watercoloring Pencils Assortment 2.
You may have just arrived here from my amazing and talented friend Kayla MacAulay from Australia. I love her designs!
The Colour Your Season features exclusive products available for a limited time only. The Blended Seasons bundle is perfect for crafting in any season, in any part of the world! On my last hop featuring this collection, I focused on Fall, my favourite season. Today it’s a totally different season. This collection is versatile. The coordinating Stitched Seasons Framelits Dies adds just the right touch to every project. Boost your colour collection with the watercoloring pencil assortment. The first assortment is available in the Annual Catalogue and Assortment 2 is available with this promotion, it includes some of Stampin’up!’s brand new colors! Check out for more details HERE.
For today’s hop, I decided to showcase Summer Cards since we are in the Summer season in Canada! I simply love the fresh colour combination of Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green and Flirty Flamingo. If you haven’t purchase the new colours, I suggest you do. They are so beautiful and compliment each other. The framelits from the Colour Your Seasons promotion are perfect for a textured look in the background. I used the framelits in two different ways today.
Two ideas on how to use the Colour Your Season Framelits:
- For my card on the left, I used a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock and used the framelit to cut out the stitched shape.
- For my card on the right, I used Framelit to removed a piece of cardstock from my card base. I love how the stitching part contours the cut out. One of my favourite features about this collection for sure.
How to colour the flowers:
- Stamp your image with Staz On ink onto Water Colour paper or Shimmer White cardstock
- Colour your image with the watercolour pencils ( I used Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo and Crushed Curry)
- Blend the colour with a blender pen or aquapainter
Colours Used:
Tips: Cut out extra flowers and colour them. Add them with dimensionals to existing images. Make your flowers stand out. I also added wink of Stella to have some sparkly flowers.
