Happy Monday! It’s a beautiful sunny day here in Ontario Canada… I hope you had a great weekend! I had a productive one. I’m prepping for my team summer party that is happening this weekend in person and on Monday for those who live too far (virtually).
Paper Pumpkin Alternate with the NEW White Gable Boxes!
One of my favorite things about Paper Pumpkin is finding new ways to stretch the supplies beyond the kit—and this project is no exception!
I just had to create a Paper Pumpkin alternate using the brand-new White Gable Box, and I absolutely love how it turned out. This project makes a beautiful gift package and pairs perfectly with a coordinating set of note cards tucked inside. The White Gable Boxes come 10 in a package! I bet these sell out. They are perfect for all year round projects but even better for fall and the holiday season!
I started by wrapping the box with a Two-Tone Soft Sea Foam Cardstock banner to create the base of the design. From there, I reached for one of my favorite die sets—the Scalloped Blooms Dies—and cut them from leftover pieces of the Bikes & Blooms Paper Pumpkin kit. It’s a great way to use every last bit of those beautiful supplies!
I also used the coordinating add-on dies to cut the flowers and stamped the adorable bicycle from the Bikes & Blooms Paper Pumpkin stamp set using Secret Sea ink. To finish the front, I added the coordinating butterflies from the kit and a handmade banner using the leftover cardstock pieces from the kit, giving it just the right touch of dimension and whimsy.
Lately, I’ve been reaching for the beautiful Spotlight On Nature dies again—I had almost forgotten how much I love them! They were perfect for layering the sentiment, which I also stamped in Secret Sea. Finally, I tied everything together with Cloud Cover 5/8″ Textured Ribbon, which creates the most gorgeous, fluffy bows.
To complete the gift, I created coordinating note cards to tuck inside the gable box, making this a thoughtful handmade gift for any occasion.
