Hello Crafters, Bonjour!
I love that we are already in the month of March. Spring is definitely near. The snow is already melting and I can see patches of grass in the yard. I’m already spring cleaning and organizing. Feeling so accomplished. Today’s challenge has that spring vibe.
Welcome to our March blog hop with the Color Fusers Design Team. Hop around the world with our group of talented demonstrators. We’ve created designs from our March color challenge using Stampin’up! Colors. I have a soft spot for this color challenge… I am truly going to miss Sweet Sorbet since it’s retiring on April 30th. It is bittersweet as I am also excited to see the 2024-2026 collection of in colors.
You may have just arrived here from my lovely friend Melanie Hockin from the United States. I adore her creation! At the bottom of the page there is Color Fuser Badge to guide you to the next blog. You don’t want to miss our March color challenge which focuses on a beautiful trio combo. The Color Combination of Sweet Sorbet, Pool Party and Lost lagoon feels like spring is here!
For today’s hop, I went with a simple Basic White Card featuring Stampin’up!’s Lighter Than Air Collection on page 33 of the Mini Catalogue. As soon as I saw the color challenge for this month, I thought of hot air balloons that would fill the sky.
Color Combination Used:
Instructions to make the hot air balloon card:
- Score a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Basic White Cardstock at 5 1/2″
- Layer a 3 1/2″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Basic White Cardstock
- Layer a 3/4″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper
- Die cut in Sweet Sorbet Cardstock a scalloped banner using the Carousel Horses Dies
- Stamp and die cut in Lost Lagoon and Pool Party, your favorite hot air balloons from the Hot Air balloon bundle
- Stamp in Pool Party Ink the greeting from the Hot Air Balloon Stamp Set onto Basic White Cardstock and add to the card
- Embellish with clouds from the dies in the Hot Air Balloon bundle
- Add coordinating Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots
Tip: Die cut 4 Hot Air Balloons in the Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper. Score the centre of all pieces and adhere together to create a 3D Hot Air Balloon. Embellish with the coordinating die cut banner.
Next on the hop is my talented friend Brenda Nelson. I cannot wait to see what she has designed for us today! Click on the Blog Badge below to get to her blog.
