For once, I get to sit down and blog a little… Very rarely I get to take some time to relax and do the things I love like blogging these days. Have I been stamping? Lots!!! But to be physically home and sitting at my computer, it rarely happens these days. I feel like summer went by so very fast and the end of August arrived and bam! the girls were getting ready for school. It will get easier in the fall as we seem to be more at home, having the crock pot on, sipping on a chai latte, fall is just my favorite season.
I had to share a pic to update you on how my daughters are growing way too fast… Megan just had her braces removed, she is now 16 years old, in grade 11. Last 2 years of high school. Lauren is 14, almost 15, she is in grade 10. They both worked very hard this summer and I'm very proud of them. Not easy doing so many hours at work when you are a teenager… and mommy had to take her holidays to drive them:) Jordan just turned 11 years old, she is in grade 6. Last year at elementary school, next year she will join her sisters… wohoo!
It's been my yearly tradition to take their pictures on the first day of school. I'm preserving these precious memories.. I've got some serious scrapbooking pages to catch up. A quick way to catch up on their first day of school is to print my pictures and do a page for every year. It's on my to do list… I know that project life will let me achieve this in a very speedy time…

I guess it's faster to post on instagram then blogging..If you are following me, you would have seen yesterday, my post about the cute baby card and matching tag that I made for Chris's buddy! The guys at one of the OPP offices is having a baby in 3 weeks. Some of the staff decided to host a diaper party for him and his wife. I thought it was amazing. They received more than 25 boxes of diapers…I hadn't bought diapers in a long time. I'm amazed how these cops can come together as a big family for one of their colleagues. They are such a great gang…
I found cute wrapping star paper and decided to embellish it with a matching tag and card.
There are so much stamp choices for babies in the annual Stampin up! catalogue. I picked the stamp set Made with love #138662, you get 20 photopolymer stamps and something for baby stamp set #134030 or wood stamp #134027. I used the coordinating Baby's first framelits dies #133735 to cut out the onesie and hanger.
My cardstock consisted of very vanilla #101650, crumb cake #120953, so saffron #105118 and water color paper #122959.
I stamped the onesie with jet black stazon ink #101406, colored using the aqua painters #103954 with so saffron #126957 and crumb cake ink #126975.
For the baby hanger, I stamped my image in so saffron but added on top a coat of wink of stella glitter #141897. It gave so sparkle to my hanger:)
The stars embossed images are from the lucky stars embossing folder #135817. I also added delicate white doilies #141701 and linen thread #104199 as embellishments. The congratulations was from the made with love stamp set and I punched it out with the classic label punch #141491. There are so many possibilities with this punch… Love it!!!
