How to make shimmery cardstock

Happy October!  One of my favorite things about being one of the Artisan Design Team Member for Stampin’up! this year is the Instagram Tip Sharing.  There are so many things we can do with Stampin’up! products. I’ve recently  shared a tip on Stampin’up!’s Instagram Account.  If  you are not following them, you must start now.  They share so many great ideas. I was ecstatic when Stampin’up! brought back the Champagne Mist All Purpose Ink in the holiday catalogue.  I’m even more excited that new colors are also available.

The Shimmer Paint comes in 4 colors:

• Bright Copper
• Champagne Mist
• Frost Mist
• Vegas Gold

For today’s post, I wanted to highlight my favorite tip using the All- purpose ink/Shimmer Paint. Plus, I’ll share my step-up version as well.

How to create shimmery embossed cardstock:

• Fill a Stampin’Spritzer with rubbing alcohol.  Use 70% or more to obtain the best result.
• Add a couple of drops of Champagne Mist All-Purpose Ink.
• Shake well.
• Spritz on a piece of cardstock.

To step up this technique:

• Place that piece of spritz cardstock in between one of Stampin’up!’s Textured Impressions Embossing Folders.
• Run through the Big Shot.
• Voila!

**With this tip, you can create shimmery embossed cardstock for your holiday crafting projects with any of the fifty-three Stampin’up! colors. Isn’t this amazing?  Have fun creating your shimmery cardstock!
