Eclectic Expressions or Not

in Cardmaking, Creativity on 02/27/18

We are already approaching the end of February.  Gosh this month flew by. I’ll be honest with you, I wasn’t feeling top notch in December and January.  One of the specialist found medical results from a year ago that were worrisome and that needed some serious follow up.  Being a nurse myself, I questioned how this could have been missed?  The medical panic set in and after tests and more tests, I couldn’t shut my brain off.  How scary!  Thank goodness for family, friends and especially my anchor Chris…

Finally it feels like Spring, I’ve taken a step back from the fast pace that I live in.  I’m going back to the basics AGAIN!!! Eating well, exercising and of course relaxing by crafting.  I am so behind on posting on my blog and I have so many cute projects to share.

Let’s start with these cards:) Two post ago, I was going “Gaga” over the Envelope Punch board.  If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen my “Tutti Fruitti” card.  I hadn’t posted it on my blog yet. I love the colourful images from the Tutti-fruitti 6×6 dsp and the coordinating adhesive-backed sequins.  You need to get these items!

I also designed a coordinating card.  I used the Eclectic Expressions stamp set from the second Sale-a-bration release.  With a $60 qualifying order you can earn this stamp set for FREE.

We made these cards at my monthly team meeting for February! I was amazed at how all the cards were different. The tutti fruitti dsp inspired my team to create different looks! I wish I would have taken pictures for you…

My question to you, Eclectic Expressions or not? These cards are very similar except that I added to the card on the left, the patterns from the Eclectic Expressions. This stamp set is amazing, especially for backgrounds.

In the image below,  you can see the inserts. Simply perfect to add a special note and to decorate.

There is still time to benefit from the Sale-a-bration promotion. Place an order, book a party or sign up and get the starter kit to get additional FREE goodies. Check out the codes below to order your products to make these cards and shop my online store to join the fun.  Click my shop online button and don’t forget to use the hostess code HY2BD43D to get your kimmie points and snail mail. If you order with me in February, you will receive one of my February cards and a surprise product!

Enjoy the sun today!

Hugs, Kim xo

Papercrafting is about preserving memories. I want Papercrafting is about preserving memories. I wanted to make my own DIY frame for a memory keeping of our trip to Banff Alberta! I designed my frame using the Country Woods Designer Series Paper and used @stampinupofficial ‘s Scenic Adventure Bundle and Weekend Adventures collection to embellish. I also made coordinating Polaroid note cards.

I’m obsessed at making these little Polaroid note cards and will add a couple more to my collection.

A huge thank you to the Stampin’ Through the Cat A huge thank you to the Stampin’ Through the Catalog design team for inviting me to be one of this month’s guest designers! I was truly honored!

I made a card using Stampin’ Up!’s Good Times Mix & Match Ephemera Pack and paired it with the Extraordinary Flora Bundle and its coordinating Washi Tape.

I went with a fresh, summery palette of Darling Duckling, Flirty Flamingo, Strawberry Slush, and Old Olive.

Did you know @stampinupofficial is having a Creative Challenge this month with fresh In Colors to mix with your go-to classics? Well my card meets the challenge… 💛

What did I use to make this card?

Full details are provided on @stampinthroughthecatalog as well as how Melody, Cindy & Kaitlyn cased some elements and made their own card designs. I love how they explained in details what element inspired them from my card. Go check it out!
