Hello Crafters, Bonjour!
Happy Friday and Happy St-Patty’s Day! Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? We have dinner plans to celebrate one of our good friends who turns 50. I’m also planning on continuing to reorganize my crafting studio this weekend. I can’t wait to share with you. I’m in a spring cleaning kind of mood and I find that less is more. I’m making 3 piles: what to give, what to sell, what to keep. I’ll let you know how that goes….
I thought that it might be a good idea to share with you today a card that represents St.Patrick’s Day but with extra cuteness overload. It’s actually a card that you can make all year long. I love the idea of a four leaf clover in a flower field. Cindy from stampinthrough the catalog had made a similar card. I cased a similar version but used current products. The punch is sold out but I still have one left if you would like to purchase it from me. You must live in Canada. If you don’t have the punch, fussy cutting can be the way to go.
Color Combination:
I’m sharing 3 ways to create this card today:
- top left is for the beginner stamper = designer paper and greeting
- middle right is for the casual stamper = designer paper, greeting and extra embellishment, the stamped clover
- last card is for the avid stamper = designer paper, greeting, ribbon, twine, butterflies embellishments and clover
I love to showcase a card for every type of stamper! I did make a Reel video dated 2023/03/16 on my Instagram account Kim_McGillis. It also features a card with the yellow ribbon.
I used the the Awash In Beauty 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the Lucky Clover Stamp Set. All the products used are linked at the end of my post.
How to make the Clover:
- Stamp the Clover Image on Shimmer Cardstock with Granny Apple Green Ink
- Color the white part of the clover with the Granny Apple Green Blends
- Use an Empty Water Painter and a bowl of water to watercolor the clover
- Add Wink of Stella for extra bling
**Only do step one if you want a “simple clover look” with no water-colour effect.
