Did you check out the Year-end sales event? It will give you a great idea of which products are retiring. I’m super sad that the wonderful life stamp set will not make the next catalogue. This stamp set has been so much fun and it’s versatile to use all year long. It’s perfect for fall cards, weddings, holidays and birthdays. Last time I posted HERE, I showed you a sample of the wonderful life stamp set using non traditional holiday colors. This time, I did add cherry cobbler (a very “Christmasish” color) but I also added soft sky. If you follow me on instagram, you would have seen a picture with multiple cards like these. I had made these cards for a swap that I participated when I attended on stage in Utah.
I love to use the clear envelops for my creations. It protects them and the person receiving the card gets a sneak peek and the mail delivery person does as well… (smile) ! These envelops come 50 in a package and include a square flaps perfect to seal them. I will add the code below. Btw, can you find the error in my image above? There are dimensional papers stuck on the cards on two different spots. I seem to find these little guys everywhere in my house…
My inspiration came from this camper that I found at Nordstrom in October. It’s to hang on my Christmas tree. I did the coloring part on the plane while I was traveling to Stampin up! on stage event. The stampin’blends have become my new favorite coloring tool, my best friends. They are quite addictive. Although, I hadn’t mastered coloring when I made these cards. The more I have played with them, the better my skills have become. I’ll share what works for me.
Tip: The stampin’blends have 12 exclusive colors. They have a light and a dark marker. I always start with the light, then highlight with the dark and then go over again with the light color. Stampin’ up has posted a couple of videos on youtube. Check them out.
To use the stampin’blends and create beautiful projects, you need key products:
- memento ink
- whisper white thick cardstock or shimmery white cardstock (it’s my favorite)
- the light and dark stampin’ blends that you like
- color lifter (for any mistakes you do)
