August Color Fuser Blog Hop

Hello Crafters, Bonjour!

It’s a long weekend here in Canada! I’ve been away from the studio and spending some quality time with my husband. I am also on holidays from my nursing job for 17 days straight! But I didn’t forget our August Color Fuser Blog Hop… This month brings a new color fuser blog hop. We are featuring a beautiful soft color challenge. Designers can use a combination of Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath and Fresh Freesia for their project. All three colors are from the Subtles Color Family.

Bundle of Choice for my card: Sketched Butterflies

The Sketched Butterflies Bundle was used for this challenge. I embossed one of the butterfly images on multiple spots of my cardstock strips.

Color Combination:

Lemon Lolly

Bubble Bath

Fresh Freesia

Instructions:

Cut a 4 1/4″ x 11 piece of Basic White cardstock and score at 5 1/2″
Cut a piece of 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8 ” Basic White cardstock and adhere to the cardbase
Cut a third piece of Basic White cardstock at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ and cut 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ strips of cardstock in Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath and Fresh Freesia and adhere to the white card piece
Using Versamark and White Embossing Powder, stamp a butterfly image from the Sketched Butterflies Stamp Set and heat emboss with the Heating Tool
Add a strip of Fresh Freesia Designer Series Paper, a stamped greeting in Fresh Freesia ink from the Sketched Butterflies Stamp Set as well as a White Baker’s Twine Essential
Don’t forget to add specs of ink using coordinating Stampin’Blends

To step it up: Embellish your envelops with the coordinating designer series paper.
