Hello stamping friends! I’ve missed you! Xox It’s been a while. A couple of the “old” 2018 Artisan Friends have decided to get together for a Blog Hop today. We are showcasing fun crafting projects. I’m beyond excited for this mini reunion:)
You may have just arrived here from my wonderful and talented friend from the UK, Emma Goddard. I adore her projects for today’s Hop! She was with us the last time and continues to inspire you this year by remaining on the Artisan Team for the second year in a row.
For today’s hop, I’ve focused my attention on the Occasions Catalogue. Get all your goodies before the June 3rd deadline. For my projects today, I was inspired by the card on page eighteen of the Occasions Catalogue. I created a twist with a fancy fold card.
Included below are simple instructions:
- Cut a 4 ¼ x 11 piece of cardstock
- Score at 1 ¼ and 6 ½
- Cut a 3 ¾ x 4 ¼ piece of Whisper White cardstock
- Adhere to the card base
Tip#1: This folded card is so fun to embellish. There are two ways that I have done these cards. To keep it close, I either use a Velcro and attach it inside the slim border or in this situation I embellished it with the whisper white polka dot ribbon. I tied the bow around the card.
I went crazy with punches for this card! I used 5 punches. Can you guess which ones? They are all listed below. Punches are fun and fast to use especially when making multiple cards.
**My favorite part was using the Wonderful Floral Framelits from the Occasions Catalogue. I love making the baby flowers. I layered two flowers one on top of each other and crinkled the top flower. Adding a pearl to the flowers, adds a simple touch of elegance.
As for the 3 ¾ x 4 ¼ piece of whisper white cardstock, I created my own designer series paper.
Instructions on how to create you own colored dsp with the blends:
- Stamp on the whisper white cardstock in mint macaron using the Piece of Cake stamp set
- Use the light Soft Sea Foam blend to color around the stamped cakes
Here’s the beautiful color combination that I have used. It’s Spring in Canada. This color combination is perfect for Easter Projects too.
Tip #2: Create tags to embellish your handmade gift bags or add them to a card base.
Next on the hop is my sweet friend from Scotland, Rhoda MacPherson, I love her creative style. She brings a calm, zen, delicate and classic look to all her projects. Click on the Blog Badge below to get to her blog.

Your cards are gorgeous!! The colors work beautifully together. Thank you, also, for using punches!! I love using my punches, and it seems like demonstrators don’t use them enough now-a-days on their website. Great work!
