Artisan Design Team Snowflakes Blog Hop

It might be fall here in Canada but it sure fells like the most wonderful time of the year, the holidays.  You may have just arrived here from my wonderful and talented friend Kayla MacAulay from Australia. I adore her festive colourful cards for today’s Hop! Today, I’ll be sharing a couple of projects using the Snow is Glistening Stamp Set with the coordinating products.  I’ll be featuring projects that uses the stamp set only and that includes the use of the Snowfall Dies.

Gift Wrapping:

Stamp Snowflakes from the Snow is Glistening Stamp Set onto Shimmery White Cardstock.  Use a leftover box at home and wrap the stamped Shimmery White Cardstock onto the box cover and base.   I used my leftover Share What You Love Embellishment Kit Box for this project.  Embellish with the Tranquil Tide 1/4″ Velvet Ribbon and the 5/8″ Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon as well as the exclusive Snowflake Trinkets and Metallics Sequin Assortment.  Add a greeting from the same stamp set.

Cardmaking with the Snow is Glistening Stamp Set: 

For the beginner stampers, I created a simple card using Mint Macaroon and Tranquil Tide Ink.  Embellish with the Tranquil Tide 1/4″ Velvet Ribbon and the 5/8″ Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon as well as Metallics Sequin Assortment.

Tip: Stamp your greeting a couple of times as a background on your card base.  By not re inking, you can obtain lighter images which creates a contrast.

Cardmaking with the Snow is Glistening Stamp Set and Snowfall Thinlit Dies:

For the Avid Stampers, I’ve created a card that uses the coordinating thinly dies in two ways.  I used the larger snowflake die with cardstock vellum and the smaller snowflake die with the new exclusive White Velveteen Paper. Embellish with the Tranquil Tide 1/4″ Velvet Ribbon and the 5/8″ Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon as well as Metallics Sequin Assortment and the Silver Metallic Thread. I’m in love with this card.  You can duplicate the design with any of the fifty-three Stampin’up! colors.

Tip:  I discovered other ways to use the White Velveteen Paper:

• Stamp directly onto it.
• Use Stampin’up!’s punches to punch out shapes
• Emboss onto it
• Use any Thinlit dies

 

The Snowflake Showcase is also available in French, Bonheur Tout Autour and Neige Scintillante.  Therefore, you can create this look in French too.
